Johnny Depp

With Marvel leading the field at the moment with its Superhero world, you can understand the need for Studios to jump on the same kind of bandwagon and Universal are pushing ahead with their “Monster horror brand” which will see the old classics remade for a whole new generation.

With Tom Cruise already signed up to star in The Mummy which is due out next year,  Universal have announced that Johnny Depp has agreed and signed on for lead role in The Invisible Man redo which is due for release in either 2018 or 2019.

The HG Wells classic was a huge hit in the 1930’s with Claude Rains in the lead role and ironically it was remade in the 80’s by horror legend John Carpenter as a sort of comedy starring Chevy Chase.

Universal are going all out with their new franchise with recent reports that Angelina Jolie was also in talks to star and direct the other classic Bride Of Frankenstein.

No confirmation as of yet in who will direct or write The Invisible Man.

Ross HughesSince my mother sat me down at the age of five years of age and watched a little called Halloween, I have been hooked on horror. There is no other genre that gets me excited and takes me to the edge of entertainment. I watch everything from old, new, to cheap and blockbusters, but I promise all my readers that I will always give an honest opinion, and I hope whoever reads this review section, will find a film that they too can love as much as I do! Have fun reading, and please DO HAVE NIGHTMARES!!!!!!
