OK, it seems that Batman VS Superman is following the lines of Man Of Steel in where there is a huge divide between fans, there are those who like it, and those who hate it….and for the those who hatred it……look away now.

Not content with making Batman use guns and stab people, or for having Superman break bad guys necks, this universe that DC and Zack Snyder are creating is totally different to what fans expect, which of course is a good thing in some ways, but die hard fans are getting upset and even more so now when the news filters through that loveable character Jimmy Olsen was in fact in the film!

But where?

Well you know that reporter who got executed at the beginning of the film, before Superman swoops down and saves Lois Lane for the first time and not the last?

Yep!  Guys that was our Jimmy!…. Here is Zack Snyder himself confirming:

“We just did it as this little aside because we had been tracking where we thought the movies were gonna go, and we don’t have room for Jimmy Olsen in our big pantheon of characters, but we can have fun with him, right?”

Apparently he will have a bigger role in the R Rating cut that will be released in the Summer!

“He comes up to her and he goes, ‘Lois Lane, I’m Jimmy Olsen, photographer, obviously … You know, I’ve been assigned to you for this mission.’ But it turns out that Jimmy Olsen is a spook for the CIA.”

Okay then……..

Bizarrely, Snyder was going to cast Jesse Eisenberg in the role and then kill him, but decided to recast him as Lex Luthor.

“I thought, if it were Jesse Eisenberg and he got out and he goes, ‘I’m Jimmy Olsen,’ you’d be like, oh my God, we’re gonna have Jimmy Olsen in the whole movie, right? And then if he got shot, you’d just be like, ‘What!? You can’t do that.

Is Snyder being too clever for his own good?  Is he ruining the whole mythology of Superman and his characters?  Drop us a line at HCF and let us know!

Batman Vs Superman is currently in cinemas right now!

Ross HughesSince my mother sat me down at the age of five years of age and watched a little called Halloween, I have been hooked on horror. There is no other genre that gets me excited and takes me to the edge of entertainment. I watch everything from old, new, to cheap and blockbusters, but I promise all my readers that I will always give an honest opinion, and I hope whoever reads this review section, will find a film that they too can love as much as I do! Have fun reading, and please DO HAVE NIGHTMARES!!!!!!
