In a surreal twist, it seems that Star Wars is once again giving birth to a whole new treasure hunter.

Just like Harrison Ford went from Han Solo to Indiana Jones (thanks to Magnum PI), it could well be that Daisy Ridley may be following suit, because she has confirmed she has had talks over the lead role for the all new Tomb Raider film currently in the works.

Its been reported that she admitted the conversations during the Empire 2016 awards, but stressed that nothing was confirmed and she has not been offered the role.

The hit game franchise has not had the best times in the land of Movie, with two films starring Angelina Jolie not having that much of a critical success.

But there is a determination in Hollywood to get this franchise right and after her star turn in The Force Awakens, its only natural that Ridley would be considered.

One person who believes she should be the new Lara is her Star Wars co-star John Boyega who had this to say:

“I played Tomb Raider the game, it’s a new take and I think the movies are going to be based on that version. But I texted Daisy [and] was like, ‘this is you!’ and ‘you need to get on that because you could be Lara Croft.’ She should be.”

Its unsure if her Star Wars commitments will threaten such plans, but we have to wait and see in the near future.

Ross HughesSince my mother sat me down at the age of five years of age and watched a little called Halloween, I have been hooked on horror. There is no other genre that gets me excited and takes me to the edge of entertainment. I watch everything from old, new, to cheap and blockbusters, but I promise all my readers that I will always give an honest opinion, and I hope whoever reads this review section, will find a film that they too can love as much as I do! Have fun reading, and please DO HAVE NIGHTMARES!!!!!!
