Dwayne Johnson, who I still prefer to call The Rock, seems to constantly have lots of projects on the go, and now….well, nothing’s been confirmed but apparently the man has been asked….it seems like he may following in the footsteps of Lon Chaney Jr and, more recently, Benicio Del Toro, to star as Lawrence Talbot aka The Wolfman, in another instalment of this Universal Monster Cinematic Universe that the studio is embarking on [okay, we’ve already had Dracula Untold, but let’s forget about that one] to revive their classic horror characters that scared audiences in the 1930’s and 40’s. I suppose it makes considering the big names that are already attached to various projects; Tom Cruise in The Mummy, Johnny Depp as The Invisible Man, Russell Crowe as Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and possibly Angelina Jolie as the Bride of Frankenstein. However, Johnson is a somewhat limited actor to me and I can’t see him pulling of the tragic elements of the character….but we’ll see.

Dr Lenera

Dr LeneraI'm a huge film fan and will watch pretty much any type of film, from Martial Arts to Westerns, from Romances [though I don't really like Romcoms!]] to Historical Epics. Though I most certainly 'have a life', I tend to go to the cinema twice a week! However, ever since I was a kid, sneaking downstairs when my parents had gone to bed to watch old Universal and Hammer horror movies, I've always been especially fascinated by horror, and though I enjoy all types of horror films, those Golden Oldies with people like Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee probably remain my favourites. That's not to say I don't enjoy a bit of blood and gore every now and again though, and am also a huge fan of Italian horror, I just love the style.
