24_-_jack_bauer_-_cast

OK, the cynic in me, believes that in reality this not going to happen and its simply “words” for the long time fans of 24, to tune into the new upcoming show, in hope that he does, as the co-creator of the hit show, is refusing to rule out an appearance by Jack Bauer himself.

Yawn!

The will he/won’t he saga of Kiefer Sutherland coming back as Jack himself is becoming a tedious bore of a story.  With the show returning next year under the title 24:Legacy and with a new hero in place going by the name of Eric Carter (Corey Hawkins), the trailer which was released a few weeks back, gave fans hope that the show could survive in this new form.

But there are many who are making a stance that without Bauer, there is no world of CTU and are refusing to even entertain the idea of this new beginning, so Howard Gordon has been speaking once more about Bauer and his future.

I do think the character has life in him, whether it’s a movie or if he intersects with this new iteration of 24. I sure would love to see him at some point on the show, and I don’t think he’s ruled it out, either.”

The problem is, the writers have failed to end the story of Bauer, with Live Another Day ending once more in cliff hanger and fans who have invested so much in the character over the years, want at least closure for the man who has saved the world so many times.  I am willing to give Eric Carter a chance and believe that a new fresh start was needed for a show that had already became stale by the end of Day 6, but knowing Jack is out there somewhere, being tortured in a Russian prison is hard to take.

Lets hoping that Carter proves to be more than successful and somehow ends up on a mission to save a certain former hero from his plight!

Ross HughesSince my mother sat me down at the age of five years of age and watched a little called Halloween, I have been hooked on horror. There is no other genre that gets me excited and takes me to the edge of entertainment. I watch everything from old, new, to cheap and blockbusters, but I promise all my readers that I will always give an honest opinion, and I hope whoever reads this review section, will find a film that they too can love as much as I do! Have fun reading, and please DO HAVE NIGHTMARES!!!!!!
