There are some films that capture a moment in time that can never be replaced.  The Lost Boys is one of those films.  Not exactly a masterpiece of cinema, but a much cherished cult hit from the 80’s that to this day, still has masses of fans old and new, and still gets people watching.

For years fans wanted a sequel and we had it in a horrid straight to DVD addition a few years back and followed by a third film which was more accepted, but still miles away from what fans loved about the original.

Now Vertigo Comics have decided to bring out a proper sequel to Lost Boys which will delight many fans as the events of the story will carry on not long after the death of head Vampire David.

The story will see a bunch of female vampires head to Santa Carla and seek out Star (played by Jami Gertz in the film) who they believe is their long lost sister.  This results in the gang of Michael, Sam and the Frog Brothers teaming up once more to fight off the blood suckers.

The miniseries is being written by Tim Seeley  with art by Scott Godlewski and Patricia Mulvihill, and covers designed by Tony Harris.

The first issue will hit stores on October 12th of this year.

Ross HughesSince my mother sat me down at the age of five years of age and watched a little called Halloween, I have been hooked on horror. There is no other genre that gets me excited and takes me to the edge of entertainment. I watch everything from old, new, to cheap and blockbusters, but I promise all my readers that I will always give an honest opinion, and I hope whoever reads this review section, will find a film that they too can love as much as I do! Have fun reading, and please DO HAVE NIGHTMARES!!!!!!
