I love prosthetic effects, stop-motion animation and gore, but most of all I love a good story! I adore B-movies and exploitation films in many of their guises and also have a soft spot for creature features. I review a wide range of media including movies, TV series, books and videogames. I'm a massive fan of author Hunter S. Thompson and I enjoy various genre of videogames with Kingdom Hearts and Harvest Moon two of my all time favs. Currently playing: Silent Hill

  1. Mines is a bit of an obvious choice but I’ll have to go for Ripley from the “Alien” franchise. I love her character development throughout the franchise, I thought she matured pretty fast and became really kick-ass towards the end of the franchise. Especially in ‘Aliens’ and ‘Alien Resurrection’. I think her courage and strength is admirable and I feel that she is a good role model in some messed up way haha. Thanks for this opportunity.

  2. The lead in Starcrash. Marjoe Gortner is one of the few actors I am convinced I could do a better job than (although, to be fair, I wasn’t born at the time, which gives him a very slight edge). It’s terrible anyway, so there is no way I could ruin it either. At least not more than Marjoe did already.

Plus, I could have been hanging with Caroline Munro, the Hoff and the always awesome Christopher Plummer while bouncing around between takes on the trampolines they were using for the awful stunt work. That’s just the definition of fun isn’t it? Trampolining with the Hoff?

  3. Han Solo – I’d get to pilot the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy, kick some serious Imperial butt…and, of course, kiss the very attractive Princess Leia!

  4. Katniss Everdeen in Hunger Games, because she just kicks arse, shes brave but there is a soft side to her, and she shows everybody what is what

  5. Ming the merciless from the Flash Gordon series – Great hair , Great tash and a name to send fear to any “flash” hero!

  6. My wife suggests I would be a perfect c3po. Skinny, pedantic, precious and a know-all. Then again, she may be a perfect R2D2…..!

  7. Ripley from the Aliens films – she is an Icon, even if I could just utter the words ‘Leave her alone you bitch!’…

  8. I’d love to be Arnie’s Terminator character in the first film. Being a female Terminator I would have got the job done very quickly as I have more smarts. I know you’ll say it didn’t work in Terminator III but she was a real dumb blonde 😉

  9. I would have loved to be Dana Scully in the X Files. She was fab – and working alongside Mulder would have been a dream!!

  10. Got to be Ripley in Alien’s trilogy for me, and I would have made sure Jones the Ship’s cat was safe too. (We had a cat named Jones)

  11. Leftfield blast from the past – Freeman Lowell (Bruce Dern) in Silent Running. Doing a runner, sailing through the stars in a lush paradise biodome. P&Q, no hassles and robot servants

  12. When Ellen Ripley first appears in Alien, she’s a tough, capable warrant officer more than up to the task of challenging her captain and keeping the rest of the crew in line. By the time the credits roll she’s evolved into a stone cold survivor able to fend off homicidal androids and dispatch aliens with aplomb. Her transformation in the first film is only surpassed by the one that was to come in the sequel, when she would go from sole survivor to one-woman annihilator. By the time the Hadley’s Hope reactor blows, Ripley has succeeded in decimating an alien horde all by herself where an entire squad of very tough marines failed.

  13. Darth Vader, Star Wars saga why you ask? because the force tells me to, it also tells you to let me win the prize 🙂

  14. It has to be Deanna Troi because she gets to see all the amazing things the rest of the crew do but also is the one to help everyone through everything that happens.

  15. Superman, i’d have x ray eyes, super strength and be able to fly, taking off and landing where ever the hell i felt like and nobody could stop me

  16. Captain James T Kirk. Who wouldn’t want to be captain of the star ship Enterprise and get to be a hero at least once a week? It’s a no brainer.

  17. Sil in Species ~ there’s one girl you wouldn’t want to mess with!

Her body strength, regenerative ability and intelligence make tracking her extremely difficult.

  18. Tony Stark / Ironman – Living the lifestyle with the money to do what he likes. I also love all the tech he has.

  19. Sarah Connor in the Terminator, as she eventually became kickass, after whining for ages lol but I’d get to snog Micheal Behn too 😀

  20. Seven of Nine, in Star Trek, I loved the way she evolved from the Borg hive, to become a member of Starfleet, and of course I’d love to look like her in her very fitted uniform! 🙂

  21. It has to be Princess Leia from Star wars, what a great opportunity to be part of film history in such a ground breaking way and also to play opposite Harrison Ford! Although I think I would have tried to persuade the costume department to lose the white sheet dress

  22. “Keys” from E.T. You think he’s going to be a nasty Government guy, turns out at heart he’s Elliot grown up.

  23. I would have liked to play Korben Dallas( Bruce Willis) in The Fifth Element , I would love to squeeze into a box with Leeloo(Milla Jovovich) I’ll give her multipass.

  24. Any one of Stargate SG1. You wouldn’t need to go on holiday each year. Every day would be a holiday. Although you might have some bad days!!

  25. River from Serenity 😀 Would love th answers to all the questions left by the tv show (and completely not answered by the film!)
