Its been nearly six years since it was announced that the B-Movie classic, The Toxic Avenger was going to be remade, and much like The Crow, there as been many of false starts and countless news stories of people attached to the project, that it seemed like it was never going to happen.

With the bizarre idea of Arnold Schwarzenegger starring in the film, now dropped and with original director Steve Pink no longer involved, the project as fallen into the laps of the Sausage Party Co-Director Conrad Vernon, whose task is to bring this surreal tale to a whole new generation.

Vernon is working on a script which is now being done by Mike Arnold and Chris Poole.

The Toxic Avenger was one of Troma Entertainment’s most successful franchises and there is a huge fan base out there just waiting for developments on this new film.
