godzilla2

Variety has not long reported that the sequel to the American reboot of Godzilla [we don’t count the old Roland Emmerich travesty do we?] finally has its writers. They are Mike Dougherty and Zach Shields, who last teamed up for Krampus, while Dougherty also wrote and directed Trick ‘R Treat. Let’s hope that they can avoid the biggest flaw of its [overall, surprisingly good] predecessor – the weakness of the human drama. We don’t know anything concrete about the plot yet, though there were rumours a while back that more monsters from the Japanese series might be used, principally Ghidorah and Mothra….which had this Godzilla fan almost wetting his pants with excitement. Along with the announcement comes word that Legendary Pictures might be looking to create a talent pool of writers to help guide the future of the franchise which will also include, as we know, a remake of King Kong Vs Godzilla.

Godzilla 2 is expected to hit cinemas on March 22, 2019.

Dr Lenera

Dr LeneraI'm a huge film fan and will watch pretty much any type of film, from Martial Arts to Westerns, from Romances [though I don't really like Romcoms!]] to Historical Epics. Though I most certainly 'have a life', I tend to go to the cinema twice a week! However, ever since I was a kid, sneaking downstairs when my parents had gone to bed to watch old Universal and Hammer horror movies, I've always been especially fascinated by horror, and though I enjoy all types of horror films, those Golden Oldies with people like Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee probably remain my favourites. That's not to say I don't enjoy a bit of blood and gore every now and again though, and am also a huge fan of Italian horror, I just love the style.
