People seem to be increasingly interested in a film’s running time and want to know it before the film comes out. The cynic in me wonders if in some cases it’s so that somebody can work out how long they will have to go without looking at their phone. There seems to be a general assumption that longer equals better, though that’s not always the case, with what is to me the worst of the Star Wars films Attack Of The Clones being the longest one, running for 142 minutes. And actually, the shortest Star Wars film is the one I still consider to be the best [sorry Empire Strikes Back], A New Hope, which lasts 121 minutes.

Anyway, Making Star Wars have noticed that Australia’s Event Cinemas have a running time for Rogue One. It’s 133 minutes, which is bang in the middle of the franchise in terms of running times. So there you have it.

Dr Lenera

Dr LeneraI'm a huge film fan and will watch pretty much any type of film, from Martial Arts to Westerns, from Romances [though I don't really like Romcoms!]] to Historical Epics. Though I most certainly 'have a life', I tend to go to the cinema twice a week! However, ever since I was a kid, sneaking downstairs when my parents had gone to bed to watch old Universal and Hammer horror movies, I've always been especially fascinated by horror, and though I enjoy all types of horror films, those Golden Oldies with people like Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee probably remain my favourites. That's not to say I don't enjoy a bit of blood and gore every now and again though, and am also a huge fan of Italian horror, I just love the style.
