Kickstarter Launched For Horror-Comedy JOURNEY TO BURGER TOWN

A Kickstarter campaign has been launched for feature film, Journey to Burger Town.

Journey to Burger Town is a comedy-horror film about what happens when a naive wish comes true and five misfits must battle real-life movie monsters. Think: “When the movies come to life (and all hell busts loose)!”

Described as a cross between The Goonies and Scooby-Doo, with “well-deployed ‘80s nods” (The A.V. Club), the film will be shot in Chicago with talent from the Second City and iO Theater.

Looking to raise $100,000, the funds will be used to help complete the film using mostly practical FX with a little bit of CGI sprinkled where needed.

As with most crowd funding campaigns, perks are on offer for those wishing to donate including copies of the film, stickers, posters and the chance to be an extra in the movie.

I love prosthetic effects, stop-motion animation and gore, but most of all I love a good story! I adore B-movies and exploitation films in many of their guises and also have a soft spot for creature features. I review a wide range of media including movies, TV series, books and videogames. I'm a massive fan of author Hunter S. Thompson and I enjoy various genre of videogames with Kingdom Hearts and Harvest Moon two of my all time favs. Currently playing: Kingdom Come: Deliverance
