THIRD CLOVERFIELD FILM GETS ITS RELEASE DATE

It’s quite astonishing how, in this day and age, they managed to keep 10 Cloverfield Lane under wraps until that sudden announcement that took everyone by surprise. Paramount have decided to go in totally the opposite direction with the third film to be set in the Cloverfield universe, the title for which is the rather odd God Particle, and which is already in post-production. There was talk of the movie coming out sometime in February next year but no offical announcement was made and now THR brings us the news that it’s now going to be released on October 27, 2017 which is quite a long time to wait. Still, it should be worth it. The first film remains one of the best of all Found Footage flicks and the second very good too until a rather silly and poorly done final quarter.

SYNOPSIS:
The third film to be inducted into J.J. Abram’s Cloverfield universe takes the series from Earth and into space. In the film a group of scientists find themselves stranded in a space station when the Earth suddenly disappears after an experiment. However, they soon realize they aren’t alone in space when a space shuttle begins to approach their station.

God Particle is directed by Julius Onah, writtten by Oren Uziel and Doug Jung, and stars Chris O’Dowd, Daniel Bruhl, David Oyelowo, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and Zhang Ziyi.

I’m a huge film fan and will watch pretty much any type of film, from Martial Arts to Westerns, from Romances [though I don’t really like Romcoms!]] to Historical Epics. Though I most certainly ‘have a life’, I tend to go to the cinema twice a week! However, ever since I was a kid, sneaking downstairs when my parents had gone to bed to watch old Universal and Hammer horror movies, I’ve always been especially fascinated by horror, and though I enjoy all types of horror films, those Golden Oldies with people like Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee probably remain my favourites. That’s not to say I don’t enjoy a bit of blood and gore every now and again though, and am also a huge fan of Italian horror, I just love the style.
