So far they haven’t really revealed very much about Life except the basic premise, which is definitely a good thing in my book, but a Red Band trailer [no sex or violence but a bit of swearing] has just been released so if you want to know a little bit more than have a look. It shows clips from scare sequences, a glimpse of the creature [which doesn’t look very impressive in my book, but let’s wait until we’ve seen the film!], and an exciting – if not entirely unexpected – direction the plot may take in probably the final section of the film.
Six astronauts aboard the space station study a sample collected from Mars that could provide evidence for extraterrestrial life on the Red Planet. The crew determines that the sample contains a large, single-celled organism – the first example of life beyond Earth. But..things aren’t always what they seem. As the crew begins to conduct research, and their methods end up having unintended consequences, the life form proves more intelligent than anyone ever expected.
Life is directed by Daniel Espinosa, is written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, and stars Rebecca Ferguson, Ryan Reynolds, Jake Gyllenhaal, David Jordan and Hiroyuki Sanada. It’s expected in cinemas March 24 so not long to wait!
