WE COULD STILL GET A ‘MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E.’ SEQUEL

As a fan of the original films and TV series, I wasn’t impressed much with Guy Ritchie’s mediocre 2015 reboot, with its two leads having not even an ounce of the chemistry of Robert Vaughn and David McCallum, and its annoyingly ‘in your face’ direction. The action comedy didn’t do well at all at the box office, though according to Armie Hammer, who starred opposite Henry Cavill in the film:

“I called Lionel Wigram, the producer of the movie, and he and Guy produced it and wrote it all together. I was like, ‘Dude, what’s the deal? I get asked about this shit all the time. Can you just write a sequel?’ He was like, ‘You know what? Yeah, fuck it, I’ll do it. Sure, I’ll write a sequel.’ I was like, ‘If you write one, I’m sure we can get one made,’ so who knows? Today is the first day I’ve actually told anyone that story. I only told one other person who asked. Apparently, the sequel is being written right now. No pressure, Lionel!”

So they make sequels to flops these days? The way things are going, it’ll be The Lone Ranger next.

I’m a huge film fan and will watch pretty much any type of film, from Martial Arts to Westerns, from Romances [though I don’t really like Romcoms!]] to Historical Epics. Though I most certainly ‘have a life’, I tend to go to the cinema twice a week! However, ever since I was a kid, sneaking downstairs when my parents had gone to bed to watch old Universal and Hammer horror movies, I’ve always been especially fascinated by horror, and though I enjoy all types of horror films, those Golden Oldies with people like Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee probably remain my favourites. That’s not to say I don’t enjoy a bit of blood and gore every now and again though, and am also a huge fan of Italian horror, I just love the style.
