‘CHILDREN OF THE CORN: RUNAWAY’ FINALLY TO GET RELEASED

It’s been a long time since we’ve heard anything of Children Of The Corn: Runaway. The tenth entry in the Children Of The Corn franchise [I’ve only ever seen the first three!] was seemingly shot a year ago, but, as seems to increasingly be the case these days, the distributors [here Dimension] have basically just sat on it since – well, until now. News has recently come in that the film’s leading actress posted an update on Instagram which revealed that she was doing some ADR work, and when asked about the release date, she replied that it would be coming out February/March next year. – which gives me time enough to catch up on all the sequels that I’ve missed.

SYNOPSIS:
A young pregnant woman escapes a murderous child cult in a small Midwestern town. She then spends the next decade living anonymously in an attempt to spare her son the horrors that she experienced as a child. She lands in the small Oklahoma town… but something is following her. Now, she must confront this evil or lose her child.

Children Of The Corn: Runaway is directed by John Gulager from a script by Joel Soisson, and stars Marci Miller, JR Hatchett, Lynn Andrews III, Gavin Taylor, and Blaine Maye .

I’m a huge film fan and will watch pretty much any type of film, from Martial Arts to Westerns, from Romances [though I don’t really like Romcoms!]] to Historical Epics. Though I most certainly ‘have a life’, I tend to go to the cinema twice a week! However, ever since I was a kid, sneaking downstairs when my parents had gone to bed to watch old Universal and Hammer horror movies, I’ve always been especially fascinated by horror, and though I enjoy all types of horror films, those Golden Oldies with people like Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee probably remain my favourites. That’s not to say I don’t enjoy a bit of blood and gore every now and again though, and am also a huge fan of Italian horror, I just love the style.
