LATEST HORROR NEWS: James Wan to remake Stephen King’s The Tommyknockers





 

It seems the massive success of IT is going to bring a wave of remakes of old Stephen King films.  What with Pet Sematary already being confirmed, its been announced that James Wan, the horror maestro of recent films like The Conjuring, Saw and Insidious is turning is hand to the Sci-Fi horror story The Tommyknockers, which was made into a very successful Mini TV film series  way back in 1993.

Wan is teaming up with producer Roy Lee (ItThe GrudgeThe Ring) to bring a fresh take to the big screen.

“The story told of a town in Maine that falls under the influence of a dangerous gas from an unearthed spacecraftt. The gas begins to transform the people, giving them enhanced abilities, but also making them violent and subject to an alien hive mentality. One man, thanks to a steel plate in his head, is immune to the effects and tries to stop the townspeople.”
