‘LORD OF THE RINGS’ TV SERIES WILL FOCUS ON A YOUNG ARAGORN

Well this is disappointing. There are a huge number of stories that J.R.R. Tolkien wrote that could be used, and Middle Earth is vast with potentially hundreds of new tales to tell, but Amazon Studios’ The Lord Of The Rings series is apparently just going to focus on a young Aragorn, the character played by Viggo Mortensen in the movies.  ‘The One Ring.Net’ is reporting that somebody has just been cast, though his identity has not been revealed. I feel that this is a great shame, but I guess we won’t know for sure until we see it for ourselves.

Apparently Peter Jackson has been asked to be involved in some capacity and he’s “mulling it over”. Considering how weak the Hobbit films were, I’m tempted to say that it might be better if he stayed away.

I'm a huge film fan and will watch pretty much any type of film, from Martial Arts to Westerns, from Romances [though I don't really like Romcoms!]] to Historical Epics. Though I most certainly 'have a life', I tend to go to the cinema twice a week! However, ever since I was a kid, sneaking downstairs when my parents had gone to bed to watch old Universal and Hammer horror movies, I've always been especially fascinated by horror, and though I enjoy all types of horror films, those Golden Oldies with people like Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee probably remain my favourites. That's not to say I don't enjoy a bit of blood and gore every now and again though, and am also a huge fan of Italian horror, I just love the style.
