Shock as Andrew Lincoln reportedly leaves The Walking Dead

While its not been officially confirmed by anyone associated with the TV Show, its been reported by a wide number of media outlets overnight that Andrew Lincoln is to leave his role of Rick Grimes in The Walking Dead in the upcoming ninth season.

Sources close to the show have said that Andrew will only appear in a handful of episodes in the next season and that Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl, is negotiating a massive pay rise to become the new lead.

Fans still reeling from the departure of Carl (Chandler Riggs) in Season eight, need to prepare themselves as its also been said that Lauren Cohan who also plays Maggie will depart the same time as Lincoln, leaving the show in a sort of a reboot that moves itself further away from the comic book material.

The departure of Rick though is a huge blow to a show that is already losing fans due to the story-lines that have annoyed many and with its spin off, Fear The Walking Dead, vastly becoming more popular after a shaky start, could this be the final death sound or will Daryl and its new showrunner Angela Kang prove everyone wrong and bring the show back to its best?

Never has The Walking Dead been in such a delicate stage!

More as we get it!
