‘JOHN WICK 3’S TITLE CONFIRMED BY KEANU REEVES….AND IT’S NOT WHAT YOU EXPECT

Well it’s certainly unexpected. We’d all assumed that it would be called John Wick: Chapter 3, seeing as the 2017 sequel was titled simply John Wick: Chapter 2. But it turns out that the third installment of the John Wick series is going to be called – John Wick 3: Parabellum. Keanu Reeves confirmed the title to ‘ComingSoon.net’. What does it mean? Allow Keanu to enlighten us:

“Prepare for war. It’s part of that famous sentence, ‘Si vis pacem, para bellum’, which translates as, ‘If you want peace, prepare for war’,”.

Reeves also said that “there’s definitely emotion” in the new film and that:

“John Wick is fighting for his life and thinks that Halle Berry’s character has some information for him. They have a past, and they get involved with The High Table, this kind of overlording entity.”

OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS
John should have already been executed, except the Continental’s manager, Winston, has given him a one-hour grace period before he’s ‘Excommunicado’ – membership revoked, banned from all services and cut off from other members. John uses the service industry to stay alive as he fights and kills his way out of New York City.”

Kate Dillon, Ian McShane, Anjelica Huston and Laurence Fishburne also star, Derek Kolstad scripts, and Chad Stahelski directs.

John Wick 3: Parabellum is due for release on May 17, 2019 in the UK and US.

I'm a huge film fan and will watch pretty much any type of film, from Martial Arts to Westerns, from Romances [though I don't really like Romcoms!]] to Historical Epics. Though I most certainly 'have a life', I tend to go to the cinema twice a week! However, ever since I was a kid, sneaking downstairs when my parents had gone to bed to watch old Universal and Hammer horror movies, I've always been especially fascinated by horror, and though I enjoy all types of horror films, those Golden Oldies with people like Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee probably remain my favourites. That's not to say I don't enjoy a bit of blood and gore every now and again though, and am also a huge fan of Italian horror, I just love the style.
