With only a few weeks left for the much anticapted horror event of the year, news of some secret screenings have filted through to the offices of HorrorCultFilms and there are more good than bad vibes coming out of the works…

While the film was nowhere near finished and of course being test screened means many changes could be made before the Movie Premiere, it is nice to read some positive news coming through after many months of negativity!  Here are a few snippets to get your teeth into:

“It was phenomenal! What can I say. This outshines the 3rd one easily. Definitely the bloodiest of all of them, but I feel like they’ll edit some of it down. An unrated DVD would be nice to have though. All the acting was superb. Not one flaw. The opening scene was hilarious and brutal. Definitely a lot of great Williamson writing. The characters all felt very genuine. Gale was back to her bitchy self, and had a bunch of great one-liners. The ending was insanity. Easily the best of all the series, in my opinion, anyways. The crowd experience was great, and everybody was totally into it. Cannot WAIT to see this in theaters come April. Hopefully they don’t change anything. Loved it loved it loved it.” – DanielleRocks from Scream-Trilogy

 And another one!!!

“By far the best opening in the series. Smart, hilarious and absolutely brutal. The movie is a lot like the first in the series in a lot of ways, something that is commented on with plenty of self-awareness throughout the script. This is a very, very good thing. I disagree about the gore….I felt that was the one thing that felt unfinished about what they called a “work-in-progress”. Some of the effects shots seemed toned down or incomplete, but it didn’t detract from the experience at all. Acting was great, with one major exception. I definitely think they seriously miscast one of the roles. No more detail about that, but still, it wasn’t that big of a deal for me.”

Hmmm, does this excite you……?  Not going to bore you with a detail of the plot, A Scream film is better to go in without knowing, and while I believe I have worked out the killer from the Trailer (seriously, I am telling you)….I can not wait for the long awaited return of GhostFace!

The clock is ticking!…….

Since my mother sat me down at the age of five years of age and watched a little called Halloween, I have been hooked on horror. There is no other genre that gets me excited and takes me to the edge of entertainment. I watch everything from old, new, to cheap and blockbusters, but I promise all my readers that I will always give an honest opinion, and I hope whoever reads this review section, will find a film that they too can love as much as I do! Have fun reading, and please DO HAVE NIGHTMARES!!!!!!

  1. After hearing that the script was taken out of Williamson’s hands and re-jigged by Ehren (he of Scream 3), I was slightly apprehensive 😐 but then all the positive word of mouth happened and now i’m seriously psyched for this one. 😀 Plus, idefence of EK, I actually think Scream 3 has one of the best scenes in the entire trilogy (Sydney being chased through the Woodsborough set). And now seeing all the posters popping up around the place reminds me of those happy college days (i.e. when the original trilogy was released). Can’t wait for 15th April!!!

Oh and HR, as for the killer… i reckon it’s GW! Or she gets killed!? Or i’m just guessing!! 😉

  2. Hey LH, nice to have you here! 🙂 I agree. It looks like GW from the trailer but that can’t be true. Maybe its Dewey. LOL. I am very excited for Scream 4 also. Nostalgia!!

  3. Oh no my nemesis is here!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Welcome me old strange mucca!

As for Scream 4, there is a scene in the trailer that spins on the second and I honestly believe,Craven and co have latched on the idea and made this person the killer!!!!!

I tellyou what, I could PM you all, but do not open it until you have seen it, and then see it I am right 😛

  4. Damn right i’m here HR! …Behind every good man and all that! 😆 And as for a spin on that second suggestion… ya know what, it really could be Dewey cos that would tie in with the new trilogy going on about remakes/spoofs and if I recall correctly, wasn’t the Dewey homage in Scary Movie the stunningly fit killer at the end! Hmmmm… have i just spoiled Scre4m for myself! 😕

    • LOL! Didn’t he do the ‘Keyser Soze’ walk with a limp and then shake it off, peel off the moustache and jumped into a sports car? I remember him attaching himself *ahem* to the hoover in the closet. The Scary Movies were tat though.

Dang, i must watch the first Scream again. Wouldn’t it be great if TV did a triple bill before 15th April..
