Russia does Zombies in Meteletsa: The Winter of the Dead

Russia is having some serious issues with the undead in Nikolai Pigarev’s Meteletsa, or in English, the Winter of the Dead. Judging by the trailer this kind of looks ok, plenty of action, zombies, violence and lovely ladies, what more could you want? Anyway, the film is still not quite finished, but is in post production, so expect a full trailer (this is a ‘sales’ trailer) and some more images to emerge very soon. In case you can’t wait for any of that, here is the synopsis for this film:

‘Russian Winter is a terrible thing… especially if it arrives in mid July.

“Along the streets, a snowstorm sweeps, behind the snowstorm, something ghastly creeps”

Konstantin- a Moscow journalist hides from the onslaught with the daughter of a local tycoon in a hardware store. Captain Igor Knyazav cranks up the only working tank, whilst his lover, Dasha is running away from her angry husband, eho has learned of the pairs betrayal, and wants revenge, regardless of the weather…

Faced with horrifyingly gripping news material, a dedicated cameraman, Vlad, captures the strange events on video as Priest Father Michael gets out his trusty axe.

Out amidst the icy storm, something realises its hideous head- a Russian Zombie- senseless and merciless!’

Sounds a bit of alright I reckon!

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
