At least two more Terminator films due after Anapurna Films win rights over Lionsgate

Great news Terminator fans, we will get to see at least two more Terminator movies, with Arnie set to star (naturally) and Fast Five’s Justin Lin set to direct. The Skynet story could well be wrapped up in two films, but who knows at this point, but rest assured that the Terminator will return.

It looked as if Lionsgate were going to win the bid and save the next Terminator project from bankruptcy, until Megan Ellison and her Anapurna Films came along a put in a bid to pay for the other half of what Pacifier films were putting in to save the film. Hedge fund Pacifier films needed half of the $29.5 million to save the film from bankruptcy, and Ellison was able to provide that.

Ellsion made her bid without a domestic distributor attached, so this could well become the hottest title at the Cannes market. Whatever happens, it is good to know that Arnie and his Terminator will be back (sorry, couldn’t help myself!)

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
