A new horror/comedy based in an Irish fishing village is set to be released sometime next year. Grabbers, directed by Jon Wright (Tormented) is about a giant sea creature which attacks the village and the locals realise that getting drunk is the only way to survive. Starring Richard Coyle, Russell Tovey and Bronagh Gallagher and written by Kevin Lehane, here is the official synopsis:

An idyllic remote Irish fishing village is invaded by enormous tentacled creatures from the sea who are picking off the villagers one at a time. The inhabitants learn that the one thing the creatures don’t like is alcohol, it makes people taste horrible, so they realize that in order to stay alive, they’re going to have to get as drunk as possible.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
