Jaw shattering trailer for The Swordsmen (Wu Xia)

Peter Chan is one of Hong Kong’s top director’s, and his latest movie The Swordsmen (Wu Xia to use its proper title) is about to unleash its brilliance on Cannes. The hotly tipped martial arts thriller stars some of the countries brightest stars including Donnie Yen and Takeshi Kaneshiro. The trailer looks simply stunning, and a brief synopsis will follow. The film is due for release in its native China on August 11th, and after its run at Cannes it should hopefully see UK shores by the end of the year!

In the late Qing Dynasty, LIU Jin-xi is a papermaker and father of two sons who lives a seemingly normal life with his family in a remote village. However, the arrival of a detective soon threatens to tear them apart…
