It feels like just yesterday that John Gulagar’s sequel to Alexandre Aja’s Piranha remake began filming, and after just two weeks, the damned thing is finished!!! Producer Joel Soisson revealed to Star News that filming wrapped up on May 27th. Two weeks is incredibly fast to make a film, especially on the scale that we have been promised so, after months of speculation I really hope the speedy work does not spoil things.
The film will also been in 3D so I imagine there is a lot of work to do on making the film look good. Soisson also said the sequel “is so outlandish in places…I hope it works because it really pushes all the boundaries slightly pushed in the first one.“
I have still huge hopes for the film, and with the genius casting of having both David Hasselhoff AND Gary Busey as well as having a load of bikini wearing women running around a waterpark being eaten by prehistoric Piranha, what can go wrong? The film is due to hit UK cinemas September 16th so expect trailers, clips and images to start appearing very soon!
