First images revealed for Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit

Entertainment Weekly has just released a trio of images from Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit, without a doubt the biggest films of 2012 and 2013. Filming has been underway for over a month now and Jackson has kept in close contact with his fans on Facebook. He kindly released these three images and we have one here for you, and you can follow this link https://www.ew.com/ew/gallery/0,,20504849,00.html#20980350 to see the other two pictures.

We have an image of Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins reading a letter from Gandalf in front of a room full on concerned looking Hobbits. In the second image we see Gandalf taking some time out to enjoy a bit of a smoke, looking very relaxed, and the third image is of Peter Jackson giving Martin Freeman a few pointers on set.

Looking at these pictures gets me all goose bumpy with excitement, its not a lot to go on, but the set designs look perfect, exactly what I’d hoped for. Everything about this epic double movie so far has been as expected. Jackson is going to out-do himself here, I can feel it.

The first half of the monster project, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, is due for release December 14th 2012, while the second half, The Hobbit: There and Back Again, should hit the UK sometime in December 2013.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
