Raunchy poster revealed for David Fincher’s The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo remake

The superb trailer was released for David Fincher’s remake of the now legendary Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, the first part of the Millenium Trilogy of books just last week. To gain even more interest, the brand new poster has just been revealed and eyebrows will be raised thats for sure!

You can see the poster at the end of this post, but it certainly pushes the boundaries, especially for a generally mainstream film. I say mainstream due to Fincher’s enormous popularity, but there is a chance the poster may get pulled so enjoy it while you can! In the poster Daniel Craig stands behind Rooney Mara, the girl playing Noomi Rapace’s famous part. Mara is topless, and that blasted number two is right in the way of her nipple! But number two in the way or not, you can pretty much see it. With the nipple being pretty much banned on movie posters and sleeves, its interesting how they got away with this, but who cares, enjoy it dear readers!

Here is a reminder of the synopsis: Journalist Mikael Blomkvist (Craig) is aided in his search for a woman who has been missing for forty years by Lisbeth Salander (Mara), a young computer hacker.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.

  1. It seems like they are taking a different direction with Lisbeth’s character. If this was a poster for the original version, I’d say it looks very out of place. Going on looks, Noomi looks the better Lisbeth.
