Release date announced for Halloween 3D

Today Dimension Films announced the US release date of their new instalment of the Michael Myers legacy, Halloween 3D. Now, lets be clear about this, Halloween 3D, or Halloween 3 is NOT a remake of Carpenters overlooked classic Halloween 3: Season of the Witch and this new movie will not be directed by Rob Zombie.

It will be directed by Patrick Lussier and will follow on from Zombies Halloween 2 and then bring the story back to the tradition of Carpenter’s vision, ro so I’ve read. Either way, the long awaited third film should be hitting US cinemas October 26th 2012, actually in time for the yearly Halloween celebrations, so this is a good move by Dimension.

There is not much else to report, and with Lussier currently working on his Hellraiser re-boot, I doubt we will here much more about Halloween 3D for a little while yet.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
