Some new and exciting footage features in new Cowboys and Aliens trailer!

I can tell you now, Cowboys and Aliens is gonna be THE guilty pleasure of the Summer! Honestly, I really should not be this excited about seeing it but I am, it looks amazing. This new, shorter trailer features plenty more action and also pays a lot more attention to the comedy of the film. Harrison Ford looks like he’s having the time of his life, and Daniel Craig, even though looking often confused, looks smooth talking and a natural charmer. The banter between Ford and Craig is gonna be worth the ticket price alone, and we haven’t even got to the aliens or naked Olivia Wilde yet! Seriously, could this film offer up anything else??

Directed by Jon Favreau, he of Iron Man fame, and executively produced by the man with a thousand projects on the go, Steven Spielberg, what is not to like about this? The film will crash land in UK cinemas August 19th and here’s a reminder of the plot:

The Old West.. where a lone cowboy leads an uprising against a terror from beyond our world. 1873. Arizona Territory. A stranger with no memory of his past stumbles into the hard desert town of Absolution. The only hint to his history is a mysterious shackle that encircles one wrist. What he discovers is that the people of Absolution don’t welcome strangers, and nobody makes a move on its streets unless ordered to do so by the iron-fisted Colonel Dolarhyde (Ford). It’s a town that lives in fear. But Absolution is about to experience fear it can scarcely comprehend as the desolate city is attacked by marauders from the sky. Screaming down with breathtaking velocity and blinding lights to abduct the helpless one by one, these monsters challenge everything the residents have ever known. Now, the stranger they rejected is their only hope for salvation. As this gunslinger slowly starts to remember who he is and where he’s been…

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
