The director of the Grudge makes flying scary with Flight 75

Looks like we have not one, but TWO supernatural horrors set on a plane to look forward to over the next year. Already due for release soon is director Dominic Burns’ Airborne and you can read all about it here: https://horrorcultfilms.co.uk/2011/06/theres-terror-in-the-skies-in-airborne-see-the-trailer-here/ and just yesterday CBS Films announced their plans for Flight 75. The chiller, also based on a plane, will be directed by Takashi Shimizu (Ju-On, The Grudge remake, Shock Labyrinth).

The movie is based on an idea by Shimizu and “is set on a transpacific airliner where the passengers encounter what seems to be a supernatural force” The film will be produced by Taka Ichise (The Grudge, Shutter), Roy Lee (The Departed, The Ring, Pacific Rim) and Steven Schneider (Paranormal Activity, Insidious) so there is a wealth of talent on offer from the world of horror. I believe the film will be made in the US as well, so will be in English. Shimizu first filmed in the US when he took charge of the remake of his Ju-On horror and made a US version starring Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Production is set to begin soon after the Summer, more on this as it happens.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
