Did you like my play on words there in the title? No? Ah well, it was my attempt at doing something cool which probably backfired, the same can’t be said for the trailer just released for Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. Directed by Brad Bird (The Incredibles) and written and directed by JJ Abrams, Mission Impossible 4 looks very much like it could well be Tom Cruises most successful mission yet. Amongst the cast we have names like Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Paula Patton and Lost’s Josh Holloway.

Cruise returns as Ethan Hunt on a new mission which, judging by the trailer, looks pretty fantastic. Cruise is also a producer on the film. The stunts ,once again, look incredible and there seems to be a heightened level of comedy on offer here, the cast look like they’re having fun! Even Jeremy Renner cracks a smile!! To be fair, I cannot wait for this, I love the Mission Impossible films, even the second one, so this will be top of my list of film to see in December. The official release date for the UK is Boxing Day, putting Mission Impossible 4 up against David Fincher’s Girl with the Dragon Tattoo remake. Here are you plot details for Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol:

“This is not just another mission. The IMF is shut down when it’s implicated in a global terrorist bombing plot. Ghost Protocol is initiated and Ethan Hunt and his rogue new team must go undercover to clear their organization’s name. No help, no contact, off the grid. You have never seen a mission grittier and more intense than this.”

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.

  1. Why o why is Simon Pegg in EVERYTHING nowadays. The guy can’t act. End of.
Pleased to see Josh Holloway in something after Lost!

  4. Yeh, should be interesting to see how ‘Sawyer’ does off the Island, agree with the Simon Pegg issue though. He can only ever play Simon Pegg and it gets tiresome
