Those of you that read the HCF E3 reports will know that Catherine, the curious looking title from Atlus, is a game we are keen to get to grips with.
With only a few weeks left before release, Atlus have released these new images and a trailer.
Described as an erotic adventure/puzzle game, this could be the weirdest game to grace consoles since Deadly Premonition. The games protagonist is Vincent. He likes his girlfriend, Katherine. She’s pretty, smart, and successful, but the problem is, she’s starting to talk about long-term commitment, something Vincent is not happy about. To push things to the back of his mind, Vincent meets his friends at the Stray Sheep Bar for a night of drinks. Little does he know that he’s about to meet the beautiful, seductive, irresistible, Catherine. The following day he wakes up next to the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen, unsure about the previous night’s events. Was it nothing, or did something more serious happen between them? Should he tell Katherine? Will he ever see Catherine again? Vincent’s about to realise that what happened the previous night will have the weirdest repercussions you could imagine.
Already out in Japan, Catherine is released in the US 26th July. No word on a European release yet, but PS3 games are region free, so this can be imported, although the aforementioned Deadly Premonition took its time getting to these shores so there may be some hope yet.
