IS AJA GOING TO BECOME A SCANNER?: Talk of a TV show about the 1981 horror classic surfaces!

Is it me or is the new craze on TV at the moment is to make shows out of Films. With Terminator been and gone and with Teen Wolf just starting, and Nikita in full flow, the next in line seems to be the David Cronenberg classic SCANNERS.

The only details we have got at the moment is that Dimension Films are planning to develop a drama series adaptation about a group of people with telepathic and telekinetic abilities, but here is the killer and the one bit of information that stuns me is that Switchblade Romance director Alexandre Aja is to sign up in the role of executive producer and may direct the pilot.

This is the only news coming out tonight but the presence of Aja himself makes this a curious prospect but its clear to see that the massive success of The Walking Dead has made horror on the TV a promising angle for studios everywhere and is this the first sign of a new wave of scare fest to head our way!
