Scream Queen Danielle Harris to make directorial debut with horror comedy ‘Among Friends’

The rather fine looking star of such horrors as the first two Halloween remakes, Hatchet 2 and 3, Stake Land and Chromeskull: Laid to Rest 2, Danielle Harris is no stranger to horror. In fact, it is safe to say she is this generations real Scream Queen, so the news that she is about to get behind the camera to direct her first film is something to take note of.

Among Friends is a horror comedy penned by Alyssa Lobit and both Lobit and Harris will star in the film. Plot details are scarce but the film is about a group of friends who come together for a dinner party and things do not go according to plan, so I would imagine this leads to some form of violence. The word is the film will be paying homage to 80’s horror comedies like April Fool’s Day, Clue and Happy Birthday To Me.

The cast includes Jennifer Blanc (The Divide), Brianne Davis (Prom Night), Christopher Backus, Tanya Newbould (Skyline), A J Bowen (Hatchet 2), Dane Daurey, Chris Meyer and Kamala Jones. We have an image of the gorgeous looking cast below for you. There are no release details yet.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
