Sex, gas masks and baked beans? A new clip from Xavier Gens’ The Divide has just landed

A bizarre new clip from Xavier Gens’  apocalyptic sci-fi horror has just arrived straight out of Comic Con and it is unsettling and, well, not all that pleasant to be honest. Gens directed the brutal yet brilliant French shocker Frontier(s) and his latest dark tale has just been picked up by Anchor Bay for distribution in the US. The film will hit US theatres sometime in 2012, although no date has yet been agreed and there is no news of a UK release date at this moment in time.  Try to enjoy the clip which gives a good indication that this film will not be an easy ride, and to wet your appetites even further I have included the full synopsis and the teaser trailer.

When a cataclysmic explosion devastates New York, eight strangers take refuge in the basement of their apartment building, a converted fallout shelter designed by their paranoid superintendent Mickey. With just three connecting rooms it’s barely big enough, but with stockpiles of food and water, the group are at least safe from the horrors outside, and they settle in and attempt to fathom the catastrophe that has ended the lives of so many of their loved ones.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
