Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D casting update: Tania Raymonde & Sue Rock confirmed (update: Clint Eastwood’s Son now attached)

You will remember Tania Raymonde best from her character Akex Rousseau in Lost, and now she is set to star in the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie being directed by John Lussenhop. Raymonde will play Heather’s best friend Niki, a small town girl with an attitude, the perfect victim for Leatherface to want to kill off! This means that Raymonde should be getting a very big role in the film if she is cast as lead character Heathers closest friend so this is good new for Raymonde. Heather has already been cast with Alexandra Daddario taking the part.

Bill Moseley was also confirmed a while back to be playing the character Drayton, and just this week Sue Rock was also confirmed to be playing the part of Arlene. It is all shaping up, but we are yet to know who will put on the legendary mask made of skin. In this new film, which will be a direct sequel to Tobe Hooper’s original, Heather and some friends head back to Texas to collect an inheritance. Along the way they find out Leatherface is Heather’s cousin, and mayhem follows.

(update) word has reached us today that Clint Eastwood’s youngest son Scott has signed on the play the leading fella in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D. It has also been said that he will be signing on to be part of the proposed trilogy as Carl. That’s all we know for now, however we do now know that filming is due to get underway next week in Louisiana.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
