The River Murders trailers has landed, time for a genre based serial killer flick from the good old days!

I found the following trailer on Bloody Disgusting which looks a little interesting I must admit. Granted it has stars that are possibly past their sell by date, but something about this trailer reminded me of the good old days of serial killer flicks. Now, when I say good old days I don’t mean back to the classic black and white Hitchcock based stuff, I’m talking the 90’s when serial killer films were all the rage and we in the UK just couldn’t get enough of them!

The River Murders, directed by Rich Cowan and written by Steve Anderson, stars some great talent from days past, Christian Slater, Ray Liotta and Ving Rhames, this is the ultimate nostalgic trip into serial killer territory. No details on a release date as yet, but we do have a trailer and full synopsis courtesy of Bloody Disgusting, enjoy genre fans!

The sins of the past are not forgotten in this chilling suspense thriller starring Ray Liotta, Christian Slater and Ving Rhames. When the first body was discovered, it seemed a coincidence. But now homicide detective Jack Verdon (Liotta) has cause to worry: the victims of a series of brutal sex murders are all his former girlfriends. Suspected by the FBI agent who’s taken over the case (Slater) and suspended by his captain (Rhames), Jack must work outside the law if he’s to find the killer, save his future and protect what’s left of his past.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
