Craig Gillespie’s Fright Night remake is getting ever closer, it arrives in UK cinemas September 2nd. As the release gets closer a brand new TV spot has arrived which has some new footage mixed with stuff we have already seen. The first ever trailer was a bit of a disappointment for this horror, and everything since has been positive, until a set of dreadful character posters arrived a few weeks back. This new TV spot has helped me forget those awful posters, and I hope it helps you forget too! Here’s the synopsis:

Senior Charlie Brewster (Anton Yelchin) finally has it all going on: he’s running with the popular crowd and dating the most coveted girl in his high school. In fact, he’s so cool he’s even dissing his best friend. But trouble arrives when Jerry (Colin Farrell) moves in next door. He seems like a great guy at first, but there’s something not quite right—but everyone, including Charlie’s mom (Toni Collette), doesn’t notice. After observing some very strange activity, Charlie comes to an unmistakable conclusion: Jerry is a vampire preying on the neighborhood. Unable to convince anyone, Charlie has to find a way to get rid of the monster himself in this Craig Gillespie-helmed revamp of the comedy-horror classic.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.

  1. Why do all these badass oldschool horror flix need remakes? It pisses me off. What’s next? “Dead Alive” remake? “Driller Killer” remake? Jesus fuckin christ!

    • You know, the sad thing is I am sure I read somewhere that a remake of Driller Killer is being planned! Where’s all the originality gone eh? We do still get some truly brilliant original horrors, but I agree with you, there are far too many remakes around right now.
