Afraid of the dark? You will be after watching these new TV spots for Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark!

Two brand new TV spots have arrived for Troy Nikey’s creepy looking horror Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark. The film is based on a TV series from the 70’s and has been written co-produced by Guillermo Del Toro. It boasts an impressive cast of Guy Pearce, Katie Holmes and Bailee Madison. The release date for this film has chopped and changed but it would appear that the release date for this cracking horror is August 26th, so mark that down on your calenders because this is one horror you do not want to miss!We have covered tons of news on this and you can catch up here


The pic follows Sally (Bailee Madison), a young girl who moves to Rhode Island to live with her father (Guy Pearce) and his new girlfriend (Katie Holmes) in the 19th-century mansion they are restoring. Having stumbled upon the mansion’s hidden basement, Sally starts hearing voices calling out from the bolted ash pit, imploring her to open it. Sally obliges and unwittingly unleashes something so terrible, so unthinkable, that everyone’s life – hers most of all – is placed in immediate and grave danger.
