Director Lynne Ramsay’s Cannes entry, We Need to Talk About Kevin looks delightfully off the wall, dark and a quite sinister looking comedy.Tilda Swinton stars as uptight Mother Eva, and I am sure she will give one hell of a performance, as she always does. The constantly brilliant John C.Reilly plays Father Franklin who appears to just drift through life without wanting to think too much. Ezra Miller plays the grown up Kevin who has a few, shall we say, murderous intentions. The film is due for release here in the UK on 21st October.
Here is the synopsis:
The mother of a teenage boy who went on a high-school killing spree tries to deal with her grief — and feelings of responsibility for her child’s actions — by writing to her estranged husband.
