“IT’S NO F***IN’ CHILD OF MINE!” Clive Barker gets mad at new Hellraiser: Revelations

Clive Barker, rightly so, recently expressed his anger at Victor Garcia’s new Hellraiser film Revelations. Hellraiser 9 I believe this to be, and looking at the trailer, images and listening to early reviews, Garcia has royally messed up! Barker is clearly furious, and I for one totally understand. The trailer for this new Hellraiser film is awful, and is an embarrassment to everything I ever loved in the long running franchise. The original Hellraiser is one of my favourite horror films of all time, with Hellbound being very good as well. Granted the sequels never reached the heights of the original two, although there were still moments of greatness, like Hellraiser 3: Hell on Earth and Hellraiser 5: Inferno. If you can bare to watch the trailer for this new movie, which has not got Doug Bradley in the role of Pinhead (what they fuck were they thinking!) then you can click here

If you decide not to watch the trailer no one will blame you, and believe me it is depressing and upsetting. For something more interesting, read on for what Clive Barker posted on Twitter:

Hello,my friends. I want to put on record that the flick out there using the word Hellraiser IS NO FUCKIN’ CHILD OF MINE!” he screams via Twitter. “I have NOTHING to do with the fuckin’ thing. If they claim it’s from the mind of Clive Barker, it’s a lie. It’s not even from my butt-hole.

You tell ’em Clive, could not have put it better myself! A very justifiably angry man.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
