The Uninhabited: Creepy, unsettling happenings on a deserted island, check out the trailer here

Based on true events comes the straight to dvd release of Bill Bennett’s The Uninhabited. The film is due to hit DVD here in the UK August 15th and I must admit to being very intrigued by this. The trailer hints at ghostly going on as a couple are terrorised while spending a holiday on a deserted island paradise. The setting for the film looks great and, if done well, could really work in making this a right creepy, neat little horror. The film stars Geraldine Hakewill and Billy Milionis, you can check out the trailer, synopsis and gorgeous poster below:

Harry and Beth want a different kind of holiday. So they charter a boat to drop them off on a remote coral island on the Great Barrier Reef. The island is idyllic – surrounded by a wide reef, covered in palms and full of birds and other wildlife, small and totally deserted. Or is it? The young lovers soon come to believe there is someone else on the island. Things go missing from their camp – and then they discover someone else’s footprints in the sand. What they didn’t realize was that the island has a ghost – a young girl who died in shocking circumstances some eighty years earlier. The ghost at first plays mischievously with the young couple but then turns malevolent. And their idyllic island holiday becomes a nightmare.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
