Great news for all 300 fans and its impending sequel Battle of Artemisia.
Film Producer Bernie Goldmann, has confirmed the rumours that Gerard Butler and Lena Headey will return for the sequel, a shocking bit of news because originally fans thought there was no chance of this happening.
“300: Battle of Artemisia” is set to be directed by Noam Murro (Smart People) from a story written by the original director Zack Snyder with help from Kurt Johnstad and its going to be different from the much loved original.
“It’s a different story,” explained Goldmann, “[But] there is a small part for Lena [Headey]. There’s a small part for Gerry [Butler].” he then hinted that the film will be made up of unknown actors, “When you make a period movie like that, it’s great not to know the actors,” he said. “You can’t see Tom Cruise in a historical movie. You go, ‘That’s Tom Cruise!’“
The sequel is planned to hit theaters in 2013.
