Fox secures Shawn Levy to direct their Frankenstein horror

There are a number of Frankenstein based films in the pipeline right now, and Fox Pictures are hoping to get there first with their version of the classic tale. Having just signed Shawn Levy to direct, Fox are keen to get things moving as fast as possible.

Shawn Levy has directed such delights as Night At the Museum and the upcoming Reel Steal, so my guess is this may bee a slightly more family orientated story? I may be totally wrong, and that would be a nice surprise if I am, but either way, Levy is directing.

The script has been written by Max Landis (Chronicle) and is set to be a thriller based on the novel written by Mary Shelley.

Thats all we have for you on his particular Frankenstein project, but we will have more on this, and all the other projects, as it comes.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
