Kidnapped aka Secuestrados to feature at Grimm Up North festival in Manchester on Friday 7th October 2011

Directed by Miguel Ángel Vivas, Kidnapped (Secuestrados)  is about a gang of criminals who target a middle class Spanish family and take them hostage in their own home. This Spanish language film, which is subtitled, looks to be inspired by Michael Haneke’s Funny Games, and features some very terrifying scenes as the following trailer shows.

Us Brit’s have the chance to watch this horror thriller at this year’s annual Grimm Up North horror and sci-fi film festival at the AMC Cinema in Manchester. It will be screened on Friday 7th October 2011 and tickets cost £5.80 or a full festival pass can be purchased via their website: www.grimmfest.com

I love prosthetic effects, stop-motion animation and gore, but most of all I love a good story! I adore B-movies and exploitation films in many of their guises and also have a soft spot for creature features. I review a wide range of media including movies, TV series, books and videogames. I'm a massive fan of author Hunter S. Thompson and I enjoy various genre of videogames with Kingdom Hearts and Harvest Moon two of my all time favs. Currently playing: Kingdom Come: Deliverance
