Once again the name Bill Murray and his stance over Ghostbusters III is all over the headlines and tonight it seems his on going refusal to star in the film may prove the downfall to the franchise.
Lie I said personally a few months back, a Ghostbusters film without Murray was a prospect that I just did not fancy and either did not many fans judging by the emails we received at HCF HQ. There was talk and what seemed a “done deal” that the film was going to go ahead without their most memorable character but there are whispers now that Sony will not consider any film without him and most importantly will not green light the film until his signature is on paper.
Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg the writers of smash hit Bad Teacher have already penned a story for the second sequel but its unknown if Murray has read it at all, but with the project not moving forward and the history of Murray’s lack of enthusiasm towards the whole idea, it does seem that the idea has been slimed for good which has been greeted with groans by fans who have been eagerly awaiting for another sequel to one of the 80’s most greatest films.
