Ti West’s latest tale of terror has been gathering some superb word of mouth and can’t come soon enough. West is the director responsible for one of the finest horrors of 2009, The House of the Devil, he also made The Roost and the inventive but flawed Cabin Fever 2. His latest film, The Innkeepers mixes comedy with sheer terror and is rumoured to be absolutely brilliant, a real treat for horror fans.
The film stars the sexy star of Shark Night 3D, Sara Paxton alongside Pat Healy, Kelly McGillis, George Riddle and Alison Bartlett. West also wrote the spooky tale which hits US VOD 30th December, and hits all major cinemas in early February.
After over one hundred years of service, The Yankee Pedlar Inn is shutting its doors for good. The last remaining employees – Claire (Sara Paxton) and Luke (Pat Healy) – are determined to uncover proof of what many believe to be one of New England’s most haunted hotels. As the Inn’s final days draw near, odd guests check in as the pair of minimum wage “ghost hunters” begin to experience strange and alarming events that may ultimately cause them to be mere footnotes in the hotel’s long unexplained history.
