Dominic Purcell joins a growing, highly impressive cast for Alex Proyas’ ‘Paradise Lost’

More casting news for Alex Proyas’ Paradise Lost was announced recently as Dominic Purcell has joined the cast. Purcell has been seen in Prison Break as Lincoln Burrows, and has also appeared in films including Killer Elite and the Straw Dogs remake.  Purcell will be playing an Angel called Jarahmeel who ends up becoming Lucifer’s right hand man.

The casting is really shaping up for this film based on a poem by John Milton. Bradley Cooper has already been cast as Lucifer himself, a great choice I might add, with another superb choice of actor to play the Angel Gabriel, this role has been given to Casey Affleck. Benjamin Walker, Djimon Hounsou, Camila Belle and Callan McAullife are all set to star in the fantasy horror, with Rufus Sewell and Diego Boneta rumoured to also be joining in the dark and demonic fun.

Synopsis:

Lucifer and Michael, God’s greatest archangels, share the bond of extraordinary friendship until God produces his greatest creation: Man. Unable to remain subservient to God if it means bowing down to humanity, Lucifer begins his dark descent and is cast out – only to plot his revenge.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
