Edgar Allan Poe’s ‘The Tell-Tale Heart’ now filming, with added love story

Yet another adaptation of the classic short story by Edgar Allan Poe, The Tell-Tale Heart, is on its way, this time directed by John La Tier (making his directorial debut). Tier also wrote the screenplay for this new adaptation, and romance has been added to spice things up a bit. THR got first dibs on three images from the new film, and all three are included here.

The story concerns a man who murders an old man, and hides his body under the floorboards of his house. The man is then driven insane by the sound of the dead man’s beating heart.

Currently filming in New Orleans, the dark and twisted tale stars Rose McGowan as Ariel, Patrick John Flueger as the man, and the old man will be played by Peter Bogdanovich. Also joining the cast are Damon Whitaker and Kirk Fox. Check out the next two images below.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
