Michael Berryman is best known as the big, bald, scary eyed bastard who played the role of Pluto in Wes Craven’s The Hills Have Eyes. His scary face was one of the main sources of impact on the poster and sleeve for the film, and his face became iconic in the world of horror. The old fella is still appearing in a number of low budget horrors today, but thankfully Rob Zombie has decided to cast the famous actor in his horror film, The Lords of Salem. Berryman joins an ever growing cast of legendary and iconic actors and actresses, and the film really is shaping up to be a who’s who of horror and sci-fi of old. Its like one great big massive reunion!
Here is what Zombie had to say in his Facebook page:
A chicken fucker comes to SALEM.
Michael Berryman is the latest name to join the crew down in merry old Salem as Virgil Magnus, 50% of a well-known witch hunting duo called The Brothers.
Mr. Berryman has been shocking audiences for over 35 years in films like One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, The Hills Have Eyes, Deadly Blessing, Weird Science and of course THE DEVIL’S REJECTS where he didn’t fuck any chickens or so he says.
